Elan Peltz, Founder & Owner

Elan Peltz is the founder of Blackwatch '68 Properties, an entrepreneurial real estate development firm that owns, develops, and manages a range of assets with its partners. The firm owns assets ranging from apartments, to mixed use retail, along with north shore office parks, and luxury rental condos/single family homes.

His firm, based out of Chicago, has earned many design and restoration awards including the Mayor's Design Award for outstanding historic restoration of a 100 year old Victorian mixed use building to Highland Park single family renovations of mid century ravine homes. The company's assets have continued to grow by adding 2-3 new deals each year in trendy and up and coming locations. Peltz also owns Blackwatch ’68 Vintage, which sells and rents vintage furniture and artwork along with providing design assistance to shops, homeowners, and designers.

Elan holds graduate degrees in Public Policy (M.A.) from the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy as well as a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. He received his undergraduate B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis graduating with Honors in History/Political Science.

Elan, his wife Lisa, a veteran third grade teacher, daughter Savannah, and son Dylan Wesley reside in Highland Park, IL. They enjoy traveling to California and Colorado and exploring the scenery when they get the chance.
